Welcome to the Temple Post Lab

Temple Post Lab resources at Klein College of Media and Communication include: 14 powerhouse Apple iMac workstations for editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, a DaVinci Resolve Studio equipped color correction station, a dedicated Pro Tools/Audition audio recording booth, and an animation station that are used by Klein College and FMA students and faculty for a wide range of projects. Students using the Post Lab also have access to the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Post Lab Software Lists

Software lists for the Post Lab and associated spaces can be found below. This document is updated at the beginning of each semester.

Software requests: Faculty requests for software (in the Post Lab or associated spaces) can be made at any time. However, all software purchases require approval, in advance, from your department chair. Once you have approval for purchase, requests can be submitted to the Post Production Manager, Gabbie. All purchases and installations are handled on a case by case basis.

Studio G & Audio Suites A-F

STUDIO G

Location: Annenberg Hall, Rms 112 & 113

Our flagship music and audio production studio, featuring a 32 I/O Avid Pro Tools system, driven by an Antelope Orion 32 Interface, and a Trident 88 24-channel mixing board. Plug-ins include WAVES Mercury and Restoration, Melodyne pitch correction, Steinberg WaveLab Pro, and much more.

Access to Studio G is limited to students who have passed the ‘G-Test’. Students are not eligible to take the G-Test until after mid-term in either MSP 3751 or MSP 3705. Eligible students should contact Prof. Joe Kraus to schedule their test.

The Studio G Keys can be checked out for weekend or weeknight studio time, only by those eligible. Time slots must be booked, in advance, via Prof. Joe Kraus.

For weekends, the keys must be picked up at a pre-scheduled time from the Post Lab Manager (Gabbie – office located in rear of Annenberg Rm 18). The keys must be returned on Monday’s at open of the Post Lab. NO EXCEPTIONS. For weeknights, key pickup and return must also be arranged directly with the Post Lab Manager.

Audio Suites A-F

Location: Annenberg Hall, Rms 117 & 118

Six (6) Avid Pro-Tools equipped audio mixing suites are available to students currently enrolled in Klein College audio production courses and faculty preparing materials for Klein College courses.

The Audio Suites are available for Klein students to work in outside of class time, when there are no scheduled classes using the rooms. The suite keys can be checked out at the front desk or the managers office in the Post Lab (Annenberg Rm 18). Please note: if the Post Lab is closed, the Audio Suites are also closed.

(Usage of the Audio Suites by those outside of Klein College is rare, and must be approved in advance by Prof. Jack Klotz Jr., Prof. Joe Kraus, and Klein College Senior Vice Dean Don Heller.)

Digitization Info:

  • Must provide your own external storage device for transferred footage.
  • Digitization projects are generally handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Capture is done in real time. For bulk requests, please anticipate a minimum of 3-5 business days for completion.
  • Please note that, due to copyright law restrictions, Post Production may not be able to digitize some materials.
  • Contact the Post Production Manager with questions or to arrange drop-off of materials.
